American English Language Institute
In Prague
Our customers range in age from 14-60; they include business executives, working adults, university students, and secondary school students. Since 1990, we have taught English to hundreds of people from a variety of backgrounds, helping them to become more fluent and effective speakers of American English. The people we have assisted include executives who need to develop their American English business language skills, as well as students who want to prepare for TOEFL, SAT, GMAT and LSAT exams while developing their ability to read and write English for academic purposes.
Graduates of our courses have gone on to study at American universities, have secured internships in Europe and Asia, and have worked in professional assignments in English-speaking countries.

What our customers have in common is the desire to improve their fluency in English for a specific purpose. Typically, they have some basic knowledge of and background in the study of English, or are already advanced speakers of English. Most of our students have had at least 2 years of classroom instruction or work experience in English, or have lived abroad in an English-speaking country.

For young adults and students:

English for Academic Purposes provides advanced academic English language instruction for success in an English-speaking secondary or university setting. Reading and writing in academic settings is emphasized in these courses.

Preparation for tests such as TOEFL, SAT, GRE and GMAT can be arranged in these classes.

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test, the general test and the subject tests)
  • GRE (for admission to liberal arts and sciences graduate school)
  • GMAT (for admission to graduate business school)

AELI courses are taught by Sara Tusek, who has more than 25 years of experience in business and education in the U.S.A, along with 20 years of managing an international business with major activities in Europe, especially in the Czech Republic.
